Is there nothing this man can’t do? Cristiano Ronaldo, 31, regularly breaks goalscoring records, but now he’s doing it in appearances too! The Portuguese wing-wizard earned his 128th cap for his national team when he played against Austria on June 18. Considering his age that’s some going for arguably the best soccer player in the world!

It’s amazing to think that Cristiano is only 31 when you consider how many times CR7 has put on the red jersey for Portugal. But with his 128th international appearance he has now overtaken the great Luis Figo, a Barcelona legend, to become Portugal’s most-decorated son.

His career with Portugal has had its ups and downs, but with 58 goals internationally, he’s also scored the most goals for Portugal EVER. And he doesn’t look like slowing down any time soon. His performances at the Euros have been exemplary, even if he has looked a little frustrated in front of goal. But there’s still time for him to add to his goalscoring exploits.
All Cristiano needs to do now is wrestle the title of official World Footballer of the Year back off nemesis Lionel Messi. He’s in with a shout, for sure, after helping Real Madrid lift the Champions League back in May.

In fact, last year Cristiano amassed an incredible 51 goals in 48 games in all competitions. To score more goals than games played is a rarity, so good for him!
